Posted 20th July 10 IMPORTANT NOTICE
A Mistake has been made in the schedule regarding the NPS Picton M&M Novice Ridden Qualifier Under the novice classes it states: Ponies who win any open ridden class before 1st Jan in the current year are not eligible for novice classes. This wording should be under classes 20 & 21 THIS IS NOT CORRECT FOR THE PICTON QUALIFIER Class 18 & 19 will be the Picton qualifying classes. The 1st placed from class 18 & 19 will compete for the NPS Picton M&M Novice Ridden Qualifier ( as per NPS rules as written under Novice Ridden Championship in schedule) All 1st & 2nd placed ponies from classes 18, 19, 20, 21 will come forward for the Novice Ridden Championship. Champion & Reserve go forward to Overall Ridden Championship
If you wanted to enter any of these classes but did not because of the misunderstanding with the wording you will be allowed to do so with no extra charge. Just send an entry for the class with a cheque and if you have already received your ponies number write it on the entry form. I am sorry for any confusion. Now read on for the rest of the updates

STALLION PARADE
Now all of you out there with stallions what about the Stallion Parade, we still need more stallions to make this a spectacular parade. There is no entry fee and you receive a £100 from the HPS attendance fee. That cant be bad! How often do you get paid for attending a show, it's always the other way around So come on and download the stallion parade form and send it in Its great for the spectators to see the stallions and it helps them when they are looking for next years stallion for their mares.

SHOW UPDATE
This is another update as the show gets closer, IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY SENT YOUR ENTRY IN YOU WILL STILL HAVE TIME. WE ARE EXTENDING CLOSE OF ENTRY TO 31st JULY This is to help all those late entries that keep arriving. You will be sent passes with your numbers, a note to all those that are going to enter on the day that have not done an earlier entry. You will not have a pass to get into the show ground and will have to park in the DAY PARKING which is outside and quite a way from the rings. Equifest have instructed anyone without a pass will be directed to day parking. So if your not sure of all the classes you want to enter it's best to send in one and do more on the day if you haven't made your mind up.

2010 STALLION DIRECTORY
We will be producing a new Stallion Directory in early spring 2010. Stallion Directories were previously published in the years 1999, 2001, and 2003. These useful booklets contained the pictures, pedigrees and information about Highland Pony Stallions standing at stud.
There is also an interesting GOLDEN OLDIES section in each booklet, containing pictures and pedigrees of stallions long gone that had a significant influence on our breed.
Would you like to have your Stallion included in the 2010 Directory?
Would you like to advertise your Stud in this popular publication?
If your answer is yes to these questions then you can download the booking form for the new 2010 publication from this site.
There are back copies of previous Directories available from Linda Impey, All the funds from this publication will go to support the Southern Highland Pony Show.
